Google just permanently banned a manga artist’s entire Google account, just for uploading his own old manga files to Drive.
AI moderation triggered and flagged it, he tried to submit appeal then he got rejected it by Google and now he has lost everything like Gmail, Drive, all linked services is gone.
He never even sharing the files publicly, it’s only backing up his own a private work like any creator and artists.
This is Google Drive “AI moderation” in action. No human support and no serious to take action.
Physical storage or real private alternatives only.
Support the artists getting screwed by this. This level of corporate overreach is insane.

@SusieM414141 They've been doing it for years. Sell a product with a fake list of ingredients, the FDA -- slow to act -- finds out a year+ later. Company says "oopsie poopsie" and voluntarily recalls it. Only to release a replacement product SKU that is identical to the illicit one they pulled

Gas stations have been getting away with selling really sketchy pills or liquids for decades. I don’t know how they get through some major loopholes, but they do. This pharmacist sends in a pill for testing to see what it consists of. This pill has sildenafil in it, which should be prescribed because of its effects. Be careful what you purchase at gas stations.

PayPal has permanently banned this artist the second he tried to open commissions. There is no warning and no explanation, no reason, just an instant lock on the account after he verified his ID. They freeze your money and act like it’s nothing.
This isn’t customer service, so it’s straight-up debanking an independent artist with zero accountability. Artists get treated like criminals for trying to make a living. PayPal needs to be held responsible for this.
PayPal, Stripe, MasterCard, and Visa are pure devil companies and may debank or suspend payments.
XPayments is the alternative that we have been waiting for.

Today, Amazon effectively kills support for older Kindles. Not because the screens stopped working. Not because the batteries all died. Because Amazon decided perfectly usable e-readers should be cut off from the services that made them useful.
That is not innovation. That is forced obsolescence with a checkout button. Sign @uspirg's petition and tell Amazon to stop bricking working Kindles.

I broke Kindle's DRM protection tonight through a mix of static and dynamic analysis. AES key is derived from accountSecrets, kindle device ID, and voucher path. Book is decrypted in parts using OpenSSL from Ion blobs and then decompressed with LZMA.
