@atmoio Clearly these guys never worked on high pressure high stakes companies where you code and try to ship 20h a day. Code is enjoyable when you build prototypes which are interesting. In any other discipline it is pure pain, AI brings the joy back. If you're smart you'll know.

what’s interesting is that as coding becomes less enjoyable, less people will be doing it. this used to be a highly rewarding, highly stimulating field. now it’s laboring at the slop factory. if you manage to hold on to your dignity your job is probably safe, even lucrative.

@atmoio Sorry to pop the illusion, almost 50% of our dev are AI only now, and the rest are keeping up, and acceleration has grown in almost 30% while quality keeps being the same and lately we are seeing quality increase (decrease incidents) for projects with high adoption

@atmoio I work in a big company department of GenAI acceleration for the last 3 years, we have matured SDLC platform that measures productivity built before AI was even a thing, implemented DORA and homegrown KPIs that track finance and funding. Long story short the ROI on AI is real.

@iamlukethedev For transitioning period - yes this is a great collaborative system. In two years from now, with fully Agentic SDLC, to understand what is going on, you will agentic disposable pixel dashboard over a system of record. I can't imagine dailys in the era.

the scrum framing is funny but it reveals a real design problem. agents reporting their own progress face the same bias humans do in standups — it's easier to say done than to surface blockers. the honest accountability signal isn't the agent's self-report. it's the logs. tool calls made, tokens spent, actual output vs expected. the standup is theater. the telemetry is the truth.
