At what point will the governing bodies recognize the damage that allowing 1 MALE on a WOMEN’S team will do? It’s exponential. It affects every female athlete. How? Here’s how: FEMALES are being shown and told over & over again that they don’t matter. Every NCAA DI women’s volleyball athlete (a MALE is now taking statistics that rightfully belong to a FEMALE athlete) Every athlete on every team that @SJSU competes against is affected. 5 teams have forfeited a total of 7 games instead of competing against SJSU Womens volleyball. FEMALE ATHlETES HAVE LOST: ⁃opportunities to compete ⁃opportunities for post season play ⁃Opportunities to set records: ⁃- team records, individual records, school records, conference records, seasonal records, national records & career records. Competition is no longer fair. There is a reason that the net height in Mens Volleyball is more than 7 inches higher than in Womens Volleyball! MALES have MORE POWER output than FEMALES, their hearts are larger & lung capacity is bigger. Their bones are stronger. They can jump higher & punch harder. They have more muscle mass. Even after taking hormone blockers & increasing female hormones - MALE athletes who continue to work out continue to have all of these advantages. And… they don’t have a menstrual cycle. There is a built in fear factor because of the power of Blair Flemming’s spike. — a horrific accident occurred when @paytonmcnabb_ was spiked in the face by a MALE athlete in a high school game in North Carolina. Payton had partial paralysis and a brain injury. She had not been able to play volleyball since that day. Every female volleyball athlete who plays with or against Blair Flemming takes this risk when they walk onto the court. Athlete’s are told not to talk about it. Administrators and coaches are instilling fear into athletes & causing more divide instead of having actual conversations. At SJSU they didn’t even let the team know that a male athlete was joining the team. Female athletes were made to feel that they were the crazy ones if they were uncomfortable - uncomfortable undressing with a male, sharing a room with a male, showering with a male, being on a WOMEN’s team with a male. Most female athletes aren’t even comfortable undressing with other women.
