@KFWarren4 In terms of overall prognostication, I think that an uncongested echo is probably more helpful. I get an echo upfront when the patient is more undifferentiated (like when trying to determine etiology of shock)

Forgive my ignorance, #MedTwitter, intern here: does an echocardiogram completed in a patient with acute decompensated heart failure at presentation in a volume-overloaded state provide useful info, or is it better to wait until such a patient is more euvolemic? Thanks :)
