Caught up with a friend for a movie and dinner tonight and because he is employed through the AEC during election times, I happened to ask him directly if votes can be altered, rubbed out, mis counted during the election campaigns ? He replied by saying; The electoral process has long been compromised by systemic manipulation. For over 25 years he has doubted the integrity of our elections because large-scale vote counts provide an easy cover for fraud. Compulsory voting laws, which mandate participation under the threat of legal penalties, are not a hallmark of a truly free democracy. Instead, they serve to ensure a predictable turnout, making it easier for those in power to estimate exactly how many votes are needed to tip the scales. By maintaining a physical paper trail in cardboard boxes rather than moving to a secure online system-which would leave a traceable digital footprint-authorities ensure they can easily swap or destroy ballots without detection.. .. he went on to say that a cardboard box full of votes can be switched in transit with another box of pre made ballot votes (then the other box easily burnt and no one would ever know) .. I know this sounds absurd.. but this is what he was explaining It started to make a lot of sense as I was driving home .. the Govt is pushing for digital ID, it is pushing for a cashless society so that they have money trails on all of us, yet when it comes to voting, they won’t quit the paper trail and go digital ? Electoral fraud is going to get worse and worse if we don’t go to a secure online voting system.. this needs to change before the next federal and state elections ! I do not trust Albanese and his Govt
