There are some fair questions about whether Adam Sýkora can add enough offense to become an NHL player. However, the Rangers are slow and bad at pressuring pucks and Sýkora is fast and great at pressuring pucks. He's played some of his best hockey recently. Worth a look.

The Conor Sheary Paradox
Sheary is a perfect 13F or 14F to keep on roster for injury insurance and play maybe 20 games a season
But if Sully has him available, he WILL play him. No questions asked.
Therefore, you can’t have Sheary on roster.

What has kept Conor Sheary in #NYR lineup over say, Brett Berard, or other young players Mike Sullivan would want to get a look at? “Well, we've had lots of looks, all these guys. So it's not like we haven't had looks. I think what Conor brings is there's a lot of detail around his game with how he plays, whether it's without the puck, positionally, where he's at. He has a good stick. His puck pursuit game, and how he hunts pucks and forces turnovers. I think he's played well when he was playing with Labs and Tye. He scores last night with JT. He can help on the penalty kill. So there's a lot of detail around his game, and that's what I think has been his competitive advantage.”
