#Lunar image with a new technique I’m trying to see how far I can push details. This image consists of both the lit and un-lit sides of the moon along with the surrounding stars. The image also shows the moons natural glow that is shown with this editing process I’m trying. Now that I have figured out how to have the illuminated and unlit sides of the moon with the surrounding stars all in one image I’m seeing how far I can push the details. The difference in capturing this image is I used two different setups. The larger scope I took 10k frames on half of the illuminated side of the moon then did the same with the other side. After processing the two sides I stitched the two sides together to make one large crescent moon photo with extreme detail. The smaller setup was used to capture the entire moon and surrounding area in one frame and took 5k total frame but at a longer exposure time for each frame. This allows me to get a more data and a less noisy image without need as many frame, also helps with darker image. Since the two images are completely different sizes I had to raise the resolution of the dark image to match the illuminated image. After I finish editing both images I then combine the two so you can see both sides of the moon along with the surrounding stars. The final image is a 213MB image where you can zoom into the lunar surface and look at the beautiful craters. I’m not sure if Twitter will compress the images or not so I might put a link to download the images. @nickm128bpm @Firephoenix_190 @DyingLightGame Update at a Lester day “talking about both games obviously considering the dates. And i believe there are even more instances just can find them but not hard to find. Anyways it’s not an unnecessary wish when it had been talked about before. For not one but two games.

Dying Light
Dying Light@DyingLightGame·
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision that Dying Light: The Beast will no longer be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Dying Light: The Beast was built from the ground up to take full advantage of current-generation hardware. Its open world, advanced visuals, and fluid combat and traversal all depend on processing power and memory that previous-generation consoles simply cannot provide. As development progressed, it became clear that bringing the game to those platforms would require compromises that would prevent us from delivering the experience we set out to create. This was not a matter of choosing to leave those platforms behind. Rather, it reflected the technical realities of development and our commitment to delivering the best possible experience. We know many of you were looking forward to playing on PS4 or Xbox One, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment this causes. Anyone who was expecting to play on either platform will be eligible for a refund. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

@Firephoenix_190 And I’m curious if you plan on having obviously the sun if there’s a slight in the sky, but it would be cool if you find exactly where the Earth would be placed in the sky there and match it to the sun’s location if that makes sense?

@Firephoenix_190 It’s already looking good if I’m being honest. If I’m being nitpicky, smooth out the edges as some areas seem to be a little sharp with the lighting. And speaking of lighting, it’s very cinematic, which looks great, but if you’re going for realism, there wouldn’t be any fog.

Brought real LOR lunar crater data + using my astrophotography data for lighting straight into UEFN! 🌕 Obsessed with how quick this transformed from a concept to real with some basic textures and changing the lighting! Astronaut POV hitting different. Textures/lighting feedback? Rate the realism 1-10 👇… I want it to be an 8-10 when I’m done if possible. Might release a small test in the coming days to find any gaps in the terrain so keep a lookout for that. I’m trying to build the most authentic lunar experience in Fortnite Creative. @FNCreate #FortniteCreative #UEFN

Fun fact: at 700-800 km/s solar wind the lead time - that is the time between a solar wind feature detected at L1 (ACE, DSCOVR, SOHO) and impact at Earth - is only 31-36 minutes. If let's say a sharp turn in Bz appears in solar wind data from L1, it will be here in only just over half an hour.

A TON of y'all have sent me photos of the aurora tonight. My notifications are buzzing nonstop. And. I. LOVE. IT. Keep them coming! Not only are your photos stunning – they contain valuable information. I'm so happy so many of y'all are seeing them. Round 2 likely tomorrow!

@turbo_sloot @jfully19 @MatthewCappucci What I was thinking but what’s strange is I have the same thing in 2 of my photos. Only two. Curious if maybe it’s some kind of reaction of the camera sensor to the aurora

@jfully19 @MatthewCappucci Did you see those circles with your eyes or just in the pictures? I wonder if it's a camera artifact.

@MatthewCappucci What about orange? It was very strong to both the camera and my eyes! Looked almost golden visually.

Folks — what COLOR aurora are you seeing? Send us your reports and please share! This is useful data. Date and times are super valuable too! A lot of y’all are seeing red auroras. You’re seeing the top of the aurora. But if you see blue or purple, that’s a sign of something RARE! The intense solar activity is allowing energetic, charged particles to reach lower into the atmosphere (down to 60 miles above the ground). That’s something we usually only see with the strongest solar storms! Please keep us updated. Thank you all again so much!

Here's just a single frame from the 4K 11" telescope video of @SpaceX Starship engine shutdown as it flew south of Florida this evening. You guys are in for a treat, but I want to take the time to properly stabilize and process the video.
