Saying this once and one time only, as someone who met Wanda in the comics and grew up on her way before Elizabeth started portraying her adaptation of Wanda, to say that Elizabeth Olsen did not bring popularity to Wanda that resulted in her being in the Marvel Comics spotlights once again, you are absolutely delusional. Elizabeth’s version of Wanda is a VARIANT from a DIFFERENT universe than Comic Wanda. Who cares if she’s from Sokovia? SHES A VARIANT!!! Furthermore, following the success of WandaVision, Wanda was more synergized with her MCU counterpart portrayed by Lizzie. However, she’s been drawn recently to be darker skinned to better be consistent with her depiction (which I love Wanda with darker skin) but growing up, it was really a mixed bag that depended on the artist and she was drawn with fairer skin more often than she wasn’t. That’s just a fact. I love that she’s drawn with darker skin and it’s consistent bc it makes her feel even closer to me but anyway I’m rambling. -They literally had Comic Wanda living in “Lotkill” NJ, which is literally just WestView with a different name where she runs a magic shop. She literally had a hex over the town just like in Wandavision only difference is that in the comics, it was just a dome to protect the town and its citizens 😭 -They literally took the ability Wanda uses in Multiverse of Madness to kill John Krasinski’s Reed, to defeat the Griever in her mini series with Quicksilver -Darcy Lewis (an original MCU character) was brought over into the comics in Wanda’s solo as one of her best friends and now shop keeper since Wanda is Sorceress Supreme. -They also de-aged Agatha in the comics to make her closer to her MCU counterpart, Kathryn Hahn. Wanda isn’t the only victim of MCU synergy, look at Kamala. But to say that Elizabeth Olsen did not bring popularity to the character of Wanda overall is wrong and you are deluding yourself simply for the sake of showcasing your performative activism and your para-social hatred for an actor playing an adaption of a character you can go support at your local comic book store as well.
