Things have just got a lot more difficult . Here’s what I think . I had no control over what just happened . None . But I do have control over how I will react to it . And I am not going to give up on the beautiful and the good , the grip on my dreams just got tighter .

@silverpebble @cmehrenkreutz I'm Irish. We aren't a NATO member and yet still I still fear what happens to it under Trump. That and so much more. I guess I never should have read Woodward's books. I'd take lack of awareness over the fear.

I don’t claim to comprehend how US elections are counted/assessed but surely it’s looking bleak & red-leaning just now? I’m going to have to listen to Anne of Green Gables to distract/reassure me a bit. I can’t really deal with this potential horror just now…

@AmandaFenton @silverpebble I really want to believe in this tweet so much but looking at the other races there is a whole lotta red. And even if Harris does win, the visual for a 'stolen election' bid and a horrid prolonged fallout is there. There's no way there isn't a plan for a race this tight.

@silverpebble Don’t panic (yet). The red states so far aren’t a surprise, the west coast states which typically are blue haven’t started showing results (polls still open there), and none of the swing states have been called.

Watching Obama's speech on him believing people are mostly good and then watching the US voting unfold just makes me want to cry.
