Years ago while at University, I walked door to door in Mukono. I would knock and ask strangers if they had any work I could do. Most said no. A few said yes. The money moves the same day, in cash, with no record. That is not a bug. That is how a continent of 1.4 billion people actually transacts. I understand that the reason Magogo and his @OfficialFUFA Administration are yet to be ousted is the fear that Uganda could lose its rights to host the upcoming @CAF_Online Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). A source says that deliberations have been taking place over the past few days regarding how to approach the matter, and two options have been tabled: 1. Oust Magogo and his team immediately, then find a way to ensure Uganda still hosts the AFCON through deliberations with @CAF_Online and @FIFAcom 2. Wait until AFCON ends next year, then revisit the matter. The source further tells me that, unfortunately for those who want Magogo removed immediately, the government appears to be leaning towards option number two as they view number one as direct interference in football matters which is strongly discouraged by FIFA and they are not sure how it will be received by the World Soccer governing body hence putting the AFCON-hosting rights in absolute jeopardy.

I am writing this with a full heart. Having studied Law at @MakerereLaw and the Bar course at @LDC_Uganda, I wanted more beyond the confines of legal practice, I wanted to build the world I wished for.  I was fortunate to be admitted into @NotreDame on scholarship. Fast forward, over the weekend, I graduated with a Master of Science in Engineering, Science & Technology Entrepreneurship from the @NotreDame with a GPA of 3.84 out of 4.0. In addition, I completed two professional certifications at the @CFI_education: Financial Modeling & Valuation Analysis (FMVA), where I scored 100% in 3 exams and averaged 90% overall, and the Financial Planning & Wealth Management Professional (FPWMP)certification, where I scored 100% in 2 exams and averaged 94% overall. In a special way I'd like to thank @Maria_Nakalanda, @Uwihanganye_A, and my parents for the support and guidance they gave me throughout the course of my studies. You believed in me on the days I found it hard to believe in myself, and that made all the difference. To everyone who has been part of this journey in any way especially the @LeoAfricaInst network, thank you. I do not take any of it for granted. And yeah! Will be graduating from @LDC_Uganda next month with a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal studies too #GoIrish☘️

According to reports, acting president of National Unity Platform @NUP_Ug Hon (@linazed2) has reportedly directed all idle foot soldiers to stop coming and spending time at the party headquarters at Makerere Kavule in Kawempe apart from those with special assignments like providing security. Hon Zedriga said she needs space to do her work and execute the assignments for the party leader . "Time for politics is over, everyone should go back to work for a living, we don’t have money here to give you,” a source quoted Zedriga. Eversince she was assigned the top office at the party, Hon Zedriga has been complaining about the indiscipline which foot soldiers have been exhibiting at the party headquarters. Zedriga has been summoning several party leaders to her office including the newly elected Members of Parliament, councilors and leaders at all levels but sources claim that most of them have been reporting to her how some foot soldiers have been mishandleling them outside and asking them for money and other favours without respect. @FatwesTv

I missed my flight in Nairobi once because of traffic on Mombasa Road. Like fully missed it. I got to the airport sweaty, exhausted, dragging my suitcase like it personally betrayed me. I already knew there was no chance, but I still ran to the counter hoping for mercy. The woman checked her screen, looked at me, then said, “You were the last passenger.” I laughed a little because what else do you do at that point? Then she lowered her voice and said, “The plane is still on the ground.” Next thing I know this airport employee is SPEED WALKING me through the terminal like we’re in an action movie. Security waved me through, another worker grabbed my carry-on to help me run, and I’m apologizing to literally everyone while fighting for my life. I got to the gate completely out of breath. The guy scanning boarding passes looked at me and said, “Eh, Nairobi traffic. We understand.” People on the plane actually clapped when I walked in looking half dead. I have never respected airport workers more in my life. Big up to them.

A law degree is, without exaggeration, one of the most structurally versatile qualifications a person can hold. But let's take it one level deeper. Law is not merely about careers. Law is about legitimacy. Every system corporate, governmental, financial, international ultimately turns on one question: what is valid, what is enforceable, what holds? That is the lawyer's domain. So when a lawyer steps into any industry, what are they actually doing? They are structuring authority. They are organizing power. They are translating intention into enforceable reality. That is why lawyers can move across sectors so fluidly because legitimacy is the underlying architecture of all of them. The courtroom is simply the most visible arena. It is not the only one. And once you understand that, "pivoting" stops looking like departure and starts looking like deployment.
