In a first, pellet guns, shock-batons used against protestors in Delhi. Part of RAF’s gear for crowd control measures, pellets were last used during 2024 farmers protest in Haryana, Manipur (2023) and Kashmir (2016). Pellets can potentially blind the target. Several people detained by the police on Monday were picked up from locations away from the protest site at Sansad Marg, families and lawyers have alleged. Among them was a 55-year-old man who was detained from Connaught Place. Read the story. It mentions that Delhi Police has denied using pellets. Pellet guns and shock-batons are part of RAF gear, which was working alongside Delhi Police and deployed in and around Jantar Mantar on July 20. RAF is a part of CRPF. The central armed police forces are deployed on the request of the State police, in this case- Delhi Police.

Safdarjung Hospitals report says @Wangchuk66’s potassium level is 2.9 whereas just yesterday it was 4.3. They are not allowing me to either get a second opinion by taking him to another lab not are they giving me his blood sample in my presence which i can get tested elsewhere. I have been waiting since 3 hours but they haven’t obliged us yet. This lack of transparency is making us suspicious and we have asked to be discharged immediately so that we can go to a hospital that we are comfortable with. We are awaiting their response for the last 2 hours

कश्मीर की सड़कों पर हिजाब पहनी बच्चियों के सामने "हर हर महादेव" के नारे लगाने से ज़्यादा वाहियात और क्या हरक़त हो सकती है? अमरनाथ यात्रा करना हमारा धार्मिक अधिकार है। लेकिन जिस धरती पर हम यात्रा करने जाते हैं, वहाँ के लोगों की भावनाओं और स्थानीय संवेदनशीलता का सम्मान करना भी उतना ही बड़ा धर्म है। यही महादेव का मार्ग है। सच तो यह है कि हम दिन-रात धर्म की बात करते हैं, लेकिन धर्म के सिद्धांत सबसे पहले भूल जाते हैं। शायद इसी को कलियुग कहते हैं।
