There is only one correct response if Apple, Google or any social media or whatever website wants you to confirm your age:
Flat out refuse to do it.
Handing over your credit card/ID is the thin end of the wedge.
Digital ID for *everything* is the end goal.
There was a time when we lived without social media & constant internet - we can go back to that. In fact, it would most probably be healthier for us all if we did.

You can protect kids online WITHOUT using the government BTW (parental controls software already exists).
Also, you don't have a "right" to force me to give up my ID to access the internet, even if it's to "protect the kids".
