45% of UK pay zero income tax
10% top pay 60.3% of income tax
1% top pay 27% of all income tax
That’s 56% total leaves 44% in the middle who will have to pick up more taxes because the rich and wealthy are leaving and I don’t blame them.
Be careful what you wish for.
Of course the 45% don’t give a crap anyway.
UK has adopted the Chinese approach which is Rich and Poor with no Middle.

China is template for the western world. Surveillance, control and they want every penny you have. Once you rely on the state, they have all the power and it’s happening folks, because you are letting it.

UK restaurant chain Beefeater is closing all of its 106 sites. The group directly blamed crippling cost pressures stemming from Government policy. In particular, Reeves's increases in employer NICs and business rates, both of which rendered the traditional pub-restaurant business model "unsustainable." The cost of living crisis has worsened year after year since Covid, and Labour's tax rises have put the final nail in the coffin. British industry is crumbling under Labour's watch!

A reminder of what Dan Waugh (world leading expert on gambling statistics) told the Lords Committee previously about the survey, with a sample size of 25 kids, that produced the figure that 80,000 children are problem gamblers (also note not addicts)..

It gets sillier. The VAT cut is only scheduled to last (and costed) for six months, though it will be hard to put back once taken away. But the much quoted (and exaggerated) £45 saving is over a year! In fact as promised and paid for it will in fact only last for six months

Put another way, scrapping 5% VAT on domestic electricity bills cutting prices by 4.76% will knock about £10 a year off the standing charge and about 1.25p off each unit of electricity used. Boiling a kettle 3x a day for a year may save users maybe £3.64 a year (probably less)

▪️eVisas and digital right-to-work checks stay.
▪️Mandatory Companies House identity verification stays.
▪️The statutory Digital Identity Trust Framework stays.
▪️NHS Login, the NHS App and the Single Patient Record stay.
▪️A unique identifying number for every child stays.
▪️Plans for universal newborn genomic testing and DNA storage stay.
The framework, legislation and machinery are already embedded across government departments.
And he certainly won’t dismantle the systems and legislation already being assembled to link your government “you” file together.
