I join my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP in calling on college athletes to boycott public universities in states that are actively weakening Black political representation.
These institutions depend on Black athletes to power their athletic programs but remain silent as their states strip Black communities of their power.
I was pleased to stand with some of the student athletes who are helping lead this charge.
