They’re gonna drag this out for months with Priest not wanting anything to do with Balor, then eventually they’ll hug it out and Judgment Day will be back together again.
The whole reason Balor switched brands was to get away from that vortex in the first place. Nobody wants to see him get pulled right back into it. The freshness of this run is gonna wear off fast and we’ll end up right back where we were two years ago. They really have no new ideas.

This is one of those plots I thought the writers handled with levity.
When shows depict men’s sexual assault as “funny”, it leaves a poor taste. The shapeshifter copies everything from memory to mannerisms, so it was a spitting replica of Starlight. Its powers is literally becoming someone else, so forgive Hughie for not thinking Starlight is not Starlight.
Hughie got SA’ed multiple times and Starlight still got pissed at him; the victim… even though he somehow managed to figure it out last minute?? No props to that.
She just went “I forgive you”. Yeah, because it’s his fault he got SA’ed by a shapeshifting, memory copying supe.
And looking at the message audience got from that story; cue the quoted tweet, it just shows how poorly the writers handled the topic.

The facial expression he makes when she tells him it’s his own fault. Like a child being told “no” for the first time. Just exceptional acting. His eyes tell the whole story of what an insecure manbaby The Deep truly is.
