@HellenicLeague Simple laws that are not applied as often as they should be! Fair play to the ref for having the balls to do it 👍

@FMullered @refsupportuk The lines being wider than the post doesn't help. Granted would need to get the fine liner out to paint them so they're laws of the game compliant ie same width as the goal posts.

Fair play to the assistant, it was a goal! Cockfosters v Punjab is less than an hour away after some technical difficulties... My SD card plays on camera but not recognised by windows... Match action is safe!

🗣️ “I despise the culture around the referees that have made mistakes.” “It takes unbelievable courage to referee a match on a stage like that.” “You know the ones it has happened to… Ridiculed. Persecuted. I think it’s disgusting.” One manager, one day, maybe

@WhistleBlowerDK Seen from another angle and he doesn't touch it, certainly doesn't clearly move. No caution was given either which makes it more confusing.

@Coventry_RA It's impossible to tell. I'm not sure if he's touched it, I'm not sure the referee even blew his whistle

@liverpaul66 @WhistleBlowerDK Cricket is easier as it is more factual, football isn't. You can name a lot of incidents where a player/manager thinks the decision is wrong but it isn't and that still doesn't stop them complaining or saying it's wrong. I fear challenges would only increase victim mentality

I think VAR needs to do something like cricket. 2 or 3 appeals for each side. Only player fouled or the fouler, and the captain can ask ref to review. Win review, keep appeal.

@DaleJohnsonBBC Just about. Subjectivity on all considerations though. Especially direction.

The big thing with the Lucas Digne handball is that at no point was he outside the box. Not before Kieran Trippier played the cross, or when it hit his arm, or after as he simply continued walking in the box. Astonishing decision for that to be a free-kick and not a penalty.

@TonyIncenzo A small dusting of snow at St. James' Park yesterday. The last time I saw the orange ball was against Man United in Feb 85 a 1-1 draw.

Hundreds of matches are called off nowadays due to snow and ice. Back in the 70's, they'd get the orange footballs out & get on with it! And fans would arrive early to sweep the terraces. Great community spirit !!

@Coventry_RA @refsupportuk @Kingwolf84 Are you saying you think the ball hurt that much that he needed to stay down rolling around? If his teammates aren't bothered by him being down that is a clear sign they think he's faking it
