So here I am reading about the tragedy of the flood and these little sweet girls from Camp Mystic and my heart breaks for their families. I’m about to weep. And then as I scroll it’s all hate, and division and blaming this person and that organization and I just want to say SHUT UP and let people grieve. Where is your heart? What has happened to your soul that you want to make this about politics or your personal agenda when families will never see their precious little girls in this life again. The only agenda we should have is to grieve with those who are grieving, help those who are hurting and pray for a miracle.

In times of crisis, look for the helpers. In Central Texas, @USCG has saved or assisted in saving 223 lives. God bless our first responders.

Please pray with me. July 5, 2025 Father, You say You are near to the brokenhearted. Be near now, God. Please. We can’t make sense of this. We can’t fix it. But You are still the God who sees. You are still the Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one. You are still the One who calmed the wind and said to the waves, “Peace, be still.” Say it again, Lord. Speak peace over Texas. Bind up wounds that no human can reach. Sit in the ashes with the grieving. Carry those who can’t take another step. And if we, as Your people, can be Your hands, Your tears, or Your comfort, use us. We don’t understand this. But we trust that one day, every tear will be wiped away. Until then, hold every hurting soul close to Your chest. Don’t let go. In the name of Jesus, the Man of Sorrows and the Hope of Glory, Amen
