Let's see if I can explain religion to atheists in one post. God is not a fictional ghost-dad. God is "the way things are." Like gravity and the speed of light and the periodic table. Not like "the King said that Sunday is for dancing." Worshiping God means "trying as hard as you can to work WITH the way things are instead of ignoring them or making stupid mistakes." That's "sin." So you work hard, keep clean, listen to your elders, and you build a nice life. You mess up and do the wrong thing, you build a bad life. "The wages of sin is death." So then why don't they just give us an instruction manual instead of making up God and Hell and all that? Because you wouldn't get it. In fact, you would hate it. I am personally trying to give people an instruction manual, and most of them are FURIOUS about it. I say things like "if you want to be with someone good, you have to BE someone good," and women all over the internet screech and pound their little pink fists and say "BUT I DESERVE, YOU INCEL." Much worse, I tell men things like "spending your time on anime and video games is just flushing it down the toilet because there is a 100% chance that you could find something you enjoy just as much which also makes you a stronger, more valuable person," and they say "BUT I NEED A HOBBY" and "LIVING FOR OTHER PEOPLE? YOU'RE A CUCK." I guarantee that there will be replies to this thread that are about anime and video games. All I said was "some fun things don't make you better and some do, so choose ones that do," and someone is gonna say "SO THEN I HAVE NO FUN FOREVER AND I'M JUST A SLAVE? UNFOLLOW." You are not as rational as you think you are. You are more like these people than you know. I know this because I am the most rational person I've ever met, and I am not very rational. All day, every day, my "needs" brain and my "feelings" brain are screaming things at me that make absolutely no fucking sense. And I remember when I believed them! I remember when my "fear" brain would tell me "she probably won't like you, so you shouldn't talk to her." And I thought this was a fact. I eventually learned that I can do whatever, in fact, the fuck I want, and that her reaction to it is just the result of me doing it, and the results are how you learn, and that's what life is. And "religion," in most cases, is "the results we already got 2000 years ago so you don't have to learn for yourself all over again." For example, we spent the last 80 years saying things like "it makes no sense that people are scared of sex! We should be free to love who we want!" And it turned out that it did in fact make a lot of sense, and that we should not in fact be quite so free. There may or may not be heavens and hells and spirit realms and alien-demon hybrids. I dunno. But the rules are there to tell you what to do when you cannot possibly see for yourself why it's good or how it works. That's why relying on your own judgment is so stupid! You think that it's "my judgment" vs. "some old rules that dumb people made in the bad times," but it's actually "your judgment" vs. "the collective judgment of the millions of people you descend from who didn't die from their choices." Dead men write no Bibles! So yeah that's it. Religion is just magic stories to shoehorn thousands of years of wisdom into silly individuals who have no clue how anything works. And yes, they can and do manipulate religion to control people sometimes, and that's bad. But you didn't replace it with "science," you replaced it with "what school and TV told me science is," which is just another religion, except that it's not time-tested, and the creators of it hate you. Only empathy can fix the world, but nobody knows what empathy means. They think it means "being nice" and "letting people have free things." It actually means "knowing exactly how others think because of who they are and how they've lived." Most people think that empathy is "what if I was in this person's situation?" NO. It's "what if I wasn't me at all, but instead this other person? What if I believed different things, liked different things, had different feelings about things, and had different gifts and limitations?" Leftoid mudbugs think they have "empathy" because they let people from all over the world come to their countries. "If that was me, I would appreciate being allowed in!" Actual empathy is when you realize that no, they don't appreciate it, they don't respect you, they believe they should take over your world and control you, and they're far too dangerous to allow into your country. Most of them. "Not all" but man, it's pretty close.

Thanks for all the messages of support and well wishes. My wife and I appreciate it. I've reached out to the DOJ and spoken to the FBI this morning. Not sure who would swat a terminally ill man but the internet is full of mentally unwell people. We'll see what happens.
