While most of your electoral calculus is indisputable, I disagree with the premises that: • Reform is not rewarding the Tories for fourteen years of betrayal, given they have accommodated some of the worst offenders (Zahawi, Dorries, Jenrick) • Young people are a lost cause — as there are enough young men dispersed across the country who are more rightwing than their elders, and eager to get involved. Meanwhile, the migrant populations are clustered in cities and student towns, consolidating the existing leftist monopoly on those constituencies. • That the right, as presently constituted, will be the same by 2029 — because the flaws of Reform are baked in, incapable of being extricated, and may well lead them to ruin before the next election. Spitefulness, dirty tricks, infidelity, fragile egos, lying, cowardice, dissent in the ranks... It can't go on like that, but they seem unwilling to avert course. We could be looking at the possibility of Greens vs Restore in three years time. So declaring a need to "Unite the right" with Reform in mind is both philosophically faulty (Reform thinks Afghans can self-ID as English, that trans-women belong in women's prisons, etc.) and premature.
