Started my morning in Little Falls meeting with Mayor Zylka about two important projects for Little Falls: the Little Flyers Child Care Center and constructing a new railway overpass. I worked to secure funding for both projects that will support families and improve safety.

NEW: Fort Myers woman fatally beaten outside Chevron gas station on MLK Blvd Surveillance video from the Chevron gas station and D&D Convenience Store on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard shows a man repeatedly striking a woman’s vehicle with a hammer at 6 a.m. this morning. The victim, a clerk at the store, exited to confront him. The man then approached her and fatally struck her with the hammer, knocking her to the ground. He continued striking her before casually walking away. Police are searching for the armed and dangerous suspect. Nearby schools were placed on lockdown during the search. The investigation is ongoing.
