When was the last time you were shouted at by a stranger wearing a lanyard? Or spent hours in a crowded public space with low ceilings and no natural light? Or paid £8.50 for a Pret sandwich? I’ll wager it was in a British airport, the unnatural habitat of humiliation, discomfort and rip-offs. Not to mention ugliness, rudeness and inefficiency. ✍️ Owen Matthews Article | spectator.com/article/britis…

I will say this openly: if you are gay, or part of the wider LGBTQ+ community, and support the Green Party, reflect. This is their deputy leader. He’s at a protest to support a regime that hangs us from cranes and throws us off buildings. He does not give a fuck about us.
Kasra Aarabi (کسری اعرابی)@KasraAarabi

Deputy leader of @TheGreenParty, Mothin Ali, joins a rally in London in support of the Islamic regime in Iran—the same regime that has the official slogan “Death to England” & has plotted more than 20 terror attacks on British soil. The Greens are a threat to national security.

@TheEnglishRebel You do realise it was negotiated by the government of Gibraltar where over 96% voted to remain part of the EU?

Hello from Krakow airport. Pic 3 the most important. On the right EU EEA CH - you may see no queue. On the left pix1-3 🇬🇧 and 🇺🇦. Very happy to be standing with Ukraine but pic 4 really would make more sense if we were all in the same queue. Brexit has been a total disaster on so many levels. Practically, economically, diplomatically… still looking for a single upside. Still Johnson is backing Ukraine entry into EU so maybe he has seen the light.

@CllrTKerr The Scottish obsession with having to assert you’re working class is just bizarre. Does nobody in Scotland have any aspiration?

We already run a massive trade deficit with the EU on food and agricultural products. This deal will make that deficit even bigger. I will also place UK food and agribusiness under EU rules, regulations and ECJ court judgements once more, processes in which this time we will have no say. And it will undermine UK technological advances in agriculture, in which we are becoming world leaders, because it returns such research to the dead of Brussels’ ‘prudential’ approach, which regards all innovation as a risk unless it can be proven otherwise. Hugely retrograde for UK, huge win for EU.
Cabinet Office@cabinetofficeuk

Once finalised, our new 🇬🇧🇪🇺 food and drink deal will make it easier for British shoppers to buy Spanish produce and reduce the barriers to great UK companies selling in Spain and the rest of Europe.

@JeremyCordite Do some research you thick shit. The agreement has been negotiated with the Government of Gibraltar where 96% voted to remain in the EU. But of course you won’t as it doesn’t suit your narrative

Really feels like you're a sitting duck 🦆🎯 owning property in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 12% stamp duty when you buy. Top council tax 2.45x Band D, from 2x...with talk of raising that further. Up to 20% stamp duty if you dare to buy a holiday home, which you'll also pay double council tax on. An extra 8% stamp duty if you buy-to-let. Too expensive to ever pay stamp twice, so don't even think about moving home. And now a "mansion tax" if you own a half-decent place in Edinburgh. Plus you're always told you're the bad guy for not paying your fair share 🤣 Can't take much more of this..
The Herald@heraldscotland

Nearly 6,000 Edinburgh households are set to be hit by the SNP’s new mansion tax, another assault on the capital’s aspirational middle classes, writes Herald columnist John McLellan ✍️
