I'm hearing that the 51st Highland Div. monument on the Breville Ridge is now not there. Claims of theft! If true, I'm beyond words, absolutely shocking. Can anyone confirm? @BattlefieldBen

@njg330 @militaryhistori Sword is such a fantastic area, isn't it. Definitely doesn't get the attention it deserves. So many incredible stories on every level from unit, down to the individual

Available in June via Sabrestorm Publishing. ‘Red Devils on D-Day’ is centred around 6th Airborne Division’s 3rd primary task of destroying four bridges across the River Dives & another across the Divette. It also covers the battle at Varaville by C Company, 1 Canadian Para Bn.

Well this draws a close 2025, yet another unbelievably busy year. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, given opportunities, travelled with me across Europe to many locations and battlefields and shared stories. Some new friends made along the way as well. I wish everyone a happy and successful 2026… see you out on the ground as we explore more history next year 🙏🏼

Forgotten Battlefield is about to start on @BBCFOUR4 - a few photos from the filming in 2001. One of the more incredible experiences I’ve had on The Old Front Line.
