Pray for the chap in the Hull City shirt being hauled around Lee Green Sainsbury’s on family weekly shop duties with a hangover you could see from the other side of the car park.

@PulaRJS The main issue is that all of these so called journalists think it’s an entertaining game because it will never impact on them.

Reform is proposing the deportation of 2 million people - including people legally here. "Politically it feels quite clever doesn't it," says Trevor Phillips, and leads a discussion that revolves entirely around whether it is affordable and practical. These are people who sweep our streets, look after disabled people, keep the care sector functioning. People who work incredibly hard and are invariably very badly paid. People who have families, lives, hopes, dreams. Without whom the economy simply wouldn't function. This country has arrived at an appalling place.

✍️ 'Andy Burnham has no solutions to any of Britain’s pathologies. He would cripple the economy with another Left-wing pivot. He is the frontrunner in Makerfield. His real record must be exposed before it is too late' | Writes @AllisterHeath Read the full column below 👇 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/2…

Fair play to the EFL for moving as swiftly & decisively as they have. I don’t believe ‘Spygate’ in any way affected the outcome of that game but I respect the outcome & the speed of it. Perhaps they could rule on City’s 135 charges? At least we’d get a decision.

When stroke hit 19 weeks ago I was left limping dragging my left leg along. Pushing myself to run helped me regain strength in my leg. And I’ll be running a 10k for @NacoaUK in July. Everyone’s stroke recovery is different. But running, Lego, piano & Shakespeare is helping me.

The police would’ve arrested a pro-Palestine protester if they had held up a placard saying the exact same thing about Judaism.

Well played Villa. That was emphatic. It’s no consolation but Forest can concentrate on far more important things now. And Palace are on for another trophy as well - Arsenal, Villa & Palace? That would be quite something.

The state of Labour @ 10pm: We know Keir Starmer would have rejected any suggestion by Ed Miliband that he think about a departure timetable. The Times alleges this happened two weeks ago in a private meeting. Team Ed say they dispute The Times account of that call- but don't say how. Miliband is likely to publicly back the PM this weekend. As far as I can tell it appears Miliband didn't consult widely in cabinet about this, if it happened, even though other discussions about what to do about Starmer had been talking place at cabinet level. The soft left in the party and the cabinet don't feel like they want to pull the trigger tonight. Lets see where we are in the next 96 hours. Emotions in Labour are running in Labour. One MP said they "feel sick" and added they "can see why this is a moment of peril in a way I didn't hours ago. It's the collective grief and agony that could absolutely take him out." Stay tuned

@prodnose I’m sorry you are having to rely on us. We will probably be beaten within 20 minutes. But you never know. Think Ipswich will panic if they are not ahead by half time.

Millwall. Imagine: Ipswich go one up early tomorrow. Then it stays like that. Until. Three minutes from the end QPR equalise. We are winning 2-1. Board says eight minutes added. Literally pandemonium and panic at the Den.
