@jameszimmermann I had an idea once for man-dles, scented candles for guys. In addition to lots of forest stuff, there was campfire, sawdust, pizza, steak, etc.

9yo helped me cook, while sautéing onions and garlic she says “there should be a candle that smells like this.” Reminded me of Kramer’s idea for beach cologne, it’s not bad:

@scttfrnks Well, if you ever need a hand or a quick VO, I have done a bit of that.

@CraigMahoney It’s just for a personal project, not a professional gig. Basically explaining a story/event over picture and graphics. Not a narration, just bullets of information.

I’m working on a little video project and I need to lay down some voice-over audio and I want it to sound as good as possible, but I don’t want to have to master Adobe Audition (the interface is intimidating). So I described my project to Grok and he linked me to some tutorial videos on YouTube, one for setting up a recording session and another for applying basic audio correction filters commonly used for documentary-style VO. And then gave me a long, detailed step-by-step workflow for producing/saving the clips. Just tested it and it sounds great. I still don’t like the sound of my own voice, but the quality of the finished product is excellent compared to the raw recordings.

@CraigMahoney I find this interesting. I was SUPER squeamish is a kid and grew out of the worst of it Needles still bugged me, but I was usually ok by then I think it's more context for me. A bunch of stabbin and gut rippin is fine But if it goes from that to Pained Face, I'm in trouble

@chapel3929 Oh, I'm fine when it happens to me. I'm good with needles. I've cut open and dug into my skin to remove splinters and ingrown hairs. I just can't watch that shit. I have a high tolerance for personally experiencing pain and gore, but a very weak stomach for viewing it.

@CraigMahoney After I had my appendix out, I mostly got over it, after all the stabbings and pokings and proddings But everyone once in awhile it'll come back

@chapel3929 I get squeamish with that stuff too. I recently found myself turning away during The Housemaid. Lol.

@CraigMahoney You MONSTER Don't tell nobody, but I got squeamish at the surgery part and had to leave. Didn't finish FACE OFF till like a year later Now you got your whole weekend planned
