@Andrew82306019 @715MJK @cammillerfilms He was one of Jim Bowden’s first trades, to the Yankees for Roberto Kelly, the first of many “five tool players” Bowden was infatuated with. Kelly would have a long coaching career and he still might be at it, but the trade was a huge mistake (obviously).

The amount of money here would have to be huge, even for big time coaches. He had a pretty sweet gig, was just a few breaks away from competing for a title. I guess he thinks those breaks are more likely to come at LSU (and he might be right).

@rickll49 @JayMorrisonATH I had thought (except week 17) each network can “protect” one game to avoid it being flexed in. Maybe that’s an old policy- but you’d have to consider that CBS prob wants to keep Bears-Bucs if they can.

This is a good question. It’s a technicality but it might depend on the language of the bet “first coach to leave their position” or something, would cover it. If it specifically states “fired”, not sure this counts.
