I really liked Alien: Romulus, and I'm happy it's doing well at the box office, but I still wish we could finally get the third film in Ridley Scott's David trilogy.

@firstshowing It certainly does. I spent the last act on the edge of my seat. It's such a nail-biting and unforgettable sequence.

I've just watched Sirāt at my local independent cinema. Wow! What an incredible, nerve-wracking film. I can't stop thinking about it.

@trashmatsuit It's definitely going to stay with me for a while. I went in without reading or seeing anything about the film, so it took me by complete surprise.

I finally got to see Akira Kurosawa's, Ran, at my local independent cinema tonight. It's one of my all-time favourites and was just spectacular on the big screen.

My top 10 films of 2025. It has been a great year for cinema, I left out so many great films.

I watched a 30th anniversary screening of Heat on 35mm last night. For me, this is Michael Mann's masterpiece. The 35mm print looked superb for its age, and the sound was incredible. They gave out this fantastic sticker after the screening.

@MovieDisciple When I found out my local independent cinema was screening it, I was so happy. It's an incredible cinema experience; it's a shame it didn't get a wider release.

Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is incredible! It's such a beautifully crafted film, full of stunning imagery and sequences that left an indelible impression on me. Definitely a strong contender for my favourite film of the year.

@JordanCarp3nt3r I will definitely be buying it on physical media. Are Criterion releasing it? The Criterion edition of Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio was superb.

@CraigMinett It's definitely up there on my list as well. Great to know that a Physical Release is on the horizon after it releases on Netflix.

I've just watched Eraserhead at the cinema. The sound design and cinematography really stand out on the big screen. The film gets under your skin and takes you on an unforgettable journey into a surreal nightmare. As a nice bonus, we got a sticker to keep as a souvenir.

My local independent cinema is showing some outstanding films this year. I never thought I would get the chance to see The Great Silence on the big screen.

My local independent cinema is doing a David Lynch retrospective in April. I'm hoping I can attend them all.

not Lynch's movie, i know, but god, what a sendoff
