@AmaliaSouthey Melatonin. It’s a conventional medical prescription but of the chemical your body makes to bring on sleep. I find it really good because you don’t get dependent on it, it’s not addictive and it just gently gives you a push into sleep rather than knocking you out.

@JamesBarry1789 @thenursemattie @Sianysianyboots @cassesque @LaraRixon @bindelj @PeterTatchell @Lungbarrow1 Ooh, literally x 2 also!
English

@thenursemattie @Sianysianyboots @cassesque @LaraRixon @bindelj @PeterTatchell Oho, RATIO! @Lungbarrow1 @CrazyCancerLady a peach!
English

@ShehasMBC @Michele_Miller7 @ThanksCancer @jenhowse @PanCancerCanada @letswinpc That’s why I can never understand people mentioning cancer in their obituaries/death notices. I’m making NO mention of cancer in mine. It ruined my life. Literally. My obituary will be about me and my loved ones.
English

There is so much info out there on what to call everything to do with cancer. Do we say treatment or do we say chemo? Do we call it a journey? Do we call it a battle? Is there such a thing as cancer etiquette? @ThanksCancer @PanCancerCanada @letswinpc #stage4 #PancreaticCancer
English

@coccinellanovem It’s both useful AND anxiety-inducing. Nothing makes dying easier, I’m discovering. My brain won’t be quelled. 😒
English

@CrazyCancerLady Aside from being annoyed by the quotes, are you finding any of it useful?
English

@CrazyCancerLady I know what you mean. It also leaves the reader feeling a sort of pressure to take away some kind of profound message from the writing, when they mostly just want to read and think the ideas over for themselves.
English

@CrazyCancerLady Oh my love. It is. But completely understandable - treatment can be so gruelling.. Where would that leave you? Xx
English

@coccinellanovem I’m not sure enjoying is the word. Lots of books about my predicament. 😒
English

@CrazyCancerLady Which writers are you enjoying at the mo?
English

@DottyBoo Working on those things but accepting that I need them now is scary.
English

@CrazyCancerLady Wishing you the outcome that is right for you.
I need to ask if you have seen anyone from a palliative care team? They can bring hope and a quality of life.
English

@suequinnaziz I’m leaning towards ending treatment. Which is terrifying. 😞
English

@CrazyCancerLady So glad to hear you're OK... ish. What are your thoughts? X
English

It really brings it home, the fragile state in which I live as a Stage4 cancer patient, 3 years post dx, when someone at work who I advised about Prostate Cancer chemo when they were newly diagnosed 16 months ago, has just died... #fuckcancer
English

@MeghanSacks That is just so rude. That person has no self-awareness
English

@mskatestafford Yeah, if I’ve persevered with the book, it’s the author’s words I’m interested in, not anyone else’s.
English

@CrazyCancerLady I like it because it gives me a clue for what to expect in the chapter's theme sometimes.
English

@CrazyCancerLady Agreed. Do they think I'll remember it long enough to remember its cryptic relevance halfway through the chapter?
English

@BettySea_ @BigBillMoon I was most fascinated by her description of how the church appeals to the child’s natural sense of ego and self-centredness and wanting to feel grown up to hook them in. Bastards.
English

@CrazyCancerLady @BigBillMoon Yeah, some of her stories are awful & also those who were formerly higher up in the church. Don't think I ever truly got how people could get so sucked into it until the church of gender came along.
English

@CrazyCancerLady @BettySea_ You know how Scientologists always go on about that alien fella Xenu that they believe in? I reckon that’s Cruise.
English

@BettySea_ @BigBillMoon Leah Remini has great insight into the church and its recruiting methods. And she’s an interesting case in that she didn’t join as a celebrity. She joined as a child when her mother married a Scientologist. She touched on Cruise being treated like a god.
English

@CrazyCancerLady @BigBillMoon Have you ever seen him being interviewed about scientology? He's such an explosively angry little man. I reckon his "friendliness" is just him high on a god complex bestowed on him by cultists.
English

@BettySea_ @BigBillMoon Actually, no. 🤔 Okay, so he actually gets angry in interviews? Yikes!
