राजस्थान के अजमेर में बुर्के और दुपट्टे में NEET की परीक्षा देने पहुंची मुस्लिम छात्रा कुलसुम फ़ातिमा (18) को सेंटर के बाहर रोक दिया गया, बुर्का पहनने के कारण सुरक्षाकर्मियों द्वारा रोकी गई छात्रा खुशामद करती रही लेकिन न उसकी परीक्षा का ख्याल किया गया और न ही NTA की गाइडलाइन को माना गया। कुलसुम फ़ातिमा और उसके पिता सेंटर के बाहर रोकने वाले सुरक्षाकर्मियों को बुर्के की वजह से पाबंदी न लगाने वाली NTA की गाइडलाइन दिखाते रहे लेकिन सब नियमों की धज्जियां तो उड़ी ही साथ ही धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता का भी हनन किया गया। कुलसुम के मुताबिक़ उसने 3 मई को भी बुर्के और दुपट्टे में ही NEET का एग्जाम दिया गया था उसे किसी ने नहीं रोका था, अब कुलसुम ने कहा "अगर मुझे दुप्पटे और बुर्के में प्रवेश नहीं दिया गया तो मैं एग्जाम नहीं दूंगी।" छात्रा राजस्थान के ब्यावर जिले की रहने वाली हैं जो कि अजमेर शहर के सावित्री इलाके में स्थित राजकीय बालिका उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालय सेंटर पर बुर्के में परीक्षा देने के लिए पहुंची थी लेकिन बुर्के की वजह से परीक्षा केंद्र में प्रवेश करने से रोक दी गई।
