@GadSaad give all your money to the government they know better how to use it than you, also better yet if you are not using the money (saving/investing) it means you don't need it so another reason that the government could use it

GLM 5.2 is #1 on the BridgeBench Reasoning benchmark.
It beat Fable 5, Nemotron 3 Ultra, GPT 5.4, Grok 4.3, Opus 4.7, and Kimi K2.7 Code on a hard benchmark with no shortcuts.
GLM 5.2 still lacks the taste and attention to detail of frontier closed models.
But on raw reasoning, the gap is gone.
Every day Fable 5 stays banned is another day Z.ai runs unchallenged.

GLM 5.2 is a massive jump from GLM 5.1. But there is a tradeoff nobody is talking about. You will prompt GLM 5.2 three or four times to accomplish what GPT 5.5 or Opus 4.8 nails in a single prompt. Open source models are missing a level of intelligence that benchmarks do not measure. Call it taste, instinct, attention to detail. Whatever it is, the closed labs still have more of it. But here is the shift. We are entering an era where cheaper open source models can handle most real work. Fable 5 was overkill for 80% of vibe coding tasks anyway. The US government gave Z.ai this opening by banning Fable 5. GLM 5.2 walked right through it. Unban Fable 5.

I haven't used anything except Claude Code since January. Canceled my OpenAI subscriptions in March. I have no idea about Codex or any open source models. Opus 4.8 works great; use Gemini Flash Lite for OCR, but that's it. Hoping they put out Fable 5 again soon.
