So I've been pretty alarmed. Diving into research about tailored pushback against some psychiatric practices and med uses I've asked for steelman arguments. 1 or 2 were helpful. The rest? They look like this. (Pls read it's not as dense as it reads i promise) A psychiatrist tells me dopamine supersensitivity never existed (this is when antipsychotics cause brain to create more dopamine receptors - this is an empirical truth - but also very sensitive ones which leads to further or new psychosis). First of all, the study I cited showed it happening. But he linked me a paper to combat it. Wana guess what it said? Take a look. Doctors do all of medicine a disservice when they behave this way. All medicine has its use and we can debate how much or and how each should be used. When you lie, you create unnecessary distrust in the whole system that harms those who could benefit.
