Yes people die everywhere but in most sane countries, a kidnapped citizen triggers a national response and not unnecessary talks or press release.
Sir, in Nigeria, bandits collect ransoms openly, herdsmen raze villages and return to the same land, and the government's response is always "we stand with the families of the victims" or "our condolence to the families of the affected". All these are preventable to a certain level of government step up to be proactive and stand their ground to end all these atrocious acts by non state actors.
