@SawyerMerritt Great news - if you’re in N America. Anything near FSD is still a remote promise elsewhere.

@breeplayer Looks like a typo in your excellent story today. ‘They’re just like you and me’. Looks like the work of a sub-editor without command of traditional English. As anyone with a tertiary degree would know, it’d be like saying ‘They’re just like I’

@paulg Totally agree. Unfashionable as it has become, the plain old telephone is the simple, accessible and ubiquitous communication tool which remains preferable to Zoom , Trams, WebEx & all the other VC solutions. If you need to ‘see’, meet in person!

I always prefer ordinary voice calls to Zoom calls. Zoom calls are much more work, because you have to think about what your body is doing and not just what your voice is doing. And you have to stay put; you can't pace like you can on a voice call.

For those at the @aeromedsociety @FlightNurses Aeromed Conf in Adelaide asking about #Ecmo equipment weight, @NETSNSW system is 98kg for stretcher without ECMO (containing built-in power systems, oxygen routing) 116.5kg with ECMO. Water heater is 10kg (free-standing).

Why and when did we start talking about emergent patients when there is a perfectly good word for those with an emergency. To be consistent, maybe they should be cared for in emergent rooms/departments?
