People will literally see a 41 yr old take an ass whipping for an entire fight, and critique one of their best offensive moments just because they don't train the same grappling style. Losing the forest for the trees.

@RJcliffordMMA It was some of his best offense in the fight and directly led to one of his only chances of winning. Not ideal, but still turned a losing situation into an opportunity.

This was such a cool, sneaky throw by Nate. But it shows the weakness of a lot of judo/Greco-style throws in MMA: they’re built for the launch, not the landing. Perry easily scrambled on top.

Playing D&D and pretending to play D&D are 2 separate hobbies and 2 separate activities.

This outcome with Gina isn't out of the ordinary. 9 of her pro wins now come in under a minute, and all of her amateur wins were under a minute.

@Crossface02 @MMAHAWK21 @QoSBaszler My only complaint about that fight is that Gina had no biz being in that ring. It was pretty clear how that fight was going to end as soon as it was announced and other than serving as a payday wasn't much of a display of skill.

I saw Ronda fight 6 times in person for a total cage time of like 3 minutes. The terrible takes from last night fight are why it’s becoming harder to talk MMA with new fans.

@Gingerblast There's a concerted effort from the Questing Beast/Professor Dungeon Master side of the hobby to mainstream the idea of D&D as a genericized term for fantasy roleplaying. They call it "Folk D&D"

This shouldn't be surprising. The question becomes "Is D&D a broad category of fantasy roleplaying or is it a specific game outlined by Gygax?" I favor the narrow definition because I don't think it's an insult to say that a game is not D&D. Castles and Crusades, Shadowdark, Tunnels and Trolls, and Hordewars are not D&D, but they're respectable games of the genre.

MVP fights have been fun so far. Looking forward to watching tonight.
