All that is worldly will ultimately reflect lack. Thus the “effect” of affirmation from such a world is impossible. What if the world of effects is merely a feedback system for the creative powers of the mind? And the what if every moment was a new canvas for the mind? What if that canvas could reach back and reach forward affecting both and thus affecting the present moment? What if that power is your inheritance?

“The will for man and earth was lacking; behind every great human destiny there sounded as a refrain a yet greater ‘in vain!’ This is precisely what the ascetic ideal means: that something was lacking, that man was surrounded by a fearful void he did not know how to justify, to account for, to affirm himself; he suffered from the problem of his meaning.” -Nietzsche, On the Genealogy of Morals

I’m on a @MetroNorth train from Hell; stuck for an hour in Greenwich and now they’re trying a train to train transfer, which is insane because the height of the cars aren’t lining. These NE states literally don’t have enough money to pay for basic services for taxpayers because they’re handing out so many welfare- state free bees

@DLoesch He should define “work”. Unfortunately, we know how certain folks define their “work”. Perhaps someone should clue him in…

Has he demanded, with equal vociferousness, that Islamists stop killing Christians in Syria, parts of Africa, and elsewhere and for Muslims to peacefully live with Christians in Muslim-majority countries? Why is it always a demand of Christians but never of Muslims?
Open Source Intel@Osint613

Pope Leo says Muslims migrants should be allowed to stay in Europe and coexist with Christians, drawing mass criticism. "We all need to work together," the Pope said.

I couldn’t agree with you more. The Pope is being manipulated by the very best: The globalist elite, many of which face peril to their spurious reputations and personal freedom. That said, their approach is to feign compassion to advance their agenda of seizing and maintaining power. Think of a car that has been in many severe accidents. You cannot repair or fix this car by subjecting it to more violent impacts. This makes sense, however, given how violent the roads have become, which do you fix first the violent roadway? Or the car? It would be quite naive to subject your beautified vehicle to continued violent roadways. Clearly as the best steward you would stabilize the roadway to the best of your ability first, then repair and launch your beautified vehicle on its way, a pathway paved with the grace of peace. Time after time humanity has chosen forbearance and appeasement in the face of violence and aggression. This has only led to growing atrocities. Human nature in its stalled evolution needs effective deterrence. I can only wish that compassion could rule the day but that is quite naive. As stewards over those who cannot speak for themselves out of fear, a strong hand need be ready to aid. This is wisdom…

So the Pope met with David Axelrod last week. David Axelrod. Obama's campaign architect. A man who is not Catholic, has never met a pope before, and whose entire career has been engineering political narratives for the American left. And then, by pure coincidence, the Pope immediately started lobbing shots at the Trump administration, and three US Cardinals popped up on 60 Minutes doing the same thing. All organically, I'm sure. I'm a practicing Catholic. I need you to understand that part. But in my opinion, Trump has all the right to lash out at him. Maybe you'll disagree, but in the end, Trump talks like Trump. Water is wet. I'm talking about MY Church being run like a DNC satellite office but with a golden throne. This is the same Vatican that watched governments padlock churches during COVID and said nothing. That let Biden take communion while funding abortion and said nothing. That fired Bishop Strickland for defending actual Church doctrine. That removed Bishop Fernández in Puerto Rico for defending religious exemptions THE CATECHISM ITSELF supports. But somehow Trump is the threat to human dignity. Pope Francis was bad. Leo has turned out to be worse. Francis at least was vague about his politics. Leo went and hired the consulting firm. The man has ignored the slaughter of Christians across Nigeria, the Sahel, India, Syria, Bangladesh, Pakistan. Hundreds of believers murdered, churches burned, pastors kidnapped. His response? Platitudes about dialogue. OF COURSE he won't even name who's doing the killing. But he'll fly across continents to make interfaith gestures the week after his people coordinated a media hit on a sitting US president. The weaponization of belief is obvious. You get the Pope to pick a fight with Trump, and suddenly millions of conservative Catholics have to choose between their faith and their vote.

@Knesix @CatholicArena Much of what you say here is beyond truth. If I can prevent great peril and suffering, do I not have the duty to do so?

What about those who wield a sword to defend the weak who are oppressed by a murderous regime? I'm pretty sure that's being a good Christian. Because having the sword and the strength, and NOT defending the weak, would be the ultimate sin against God You can twist this as much as you can, what you're talking is still nonsense

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has released a response to JD Vance's comments about Pope Leo XIV: 'For over a thousand years, the Catholic Church has taught just war theory and it is that long tradition the Holy Father carefully references in his comments on war. A constant tenet of that thousand-year tradition is a nation can only legitimately take up the sword ‘in self-defense, once all peace efforts have failed’ That is, to be a just war it must be a defense against another who actively wages war, which is what the Holy Father actually said: ‘He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war. When Pope Leo XIV speaks as supreme pastor of the universal Church, he is not merely offering opinions on theology, he is preaching the Gospel and exercising his ministry as the Vicar of Christ. The consistent teaching of the Church is insistent that all people of good will must pray and work toward lasting peace while avoiding the evils and injustices that accompany all wars'

Yes, but who will listen? Those with ears to hear. Jesus told Nicodemus “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” Does the person choose when and where the wind blows upon him?

Have you ever wondered what spirit it was who came to her in a dream and warned Pilate’s wife about what Pilate was about to do? Was it God’s message just for historical record? Does God send dreams to pagans for his purposes? Perhaps it is what we call a common grace, like the sun shining on all people, or the rain falling on the good and the wicked alike. Pilate’s heart was hardened like Pharaoh’s heart was recorded as being hardened. Is a discerning spiritual wife a common grace extended to even pagans? I say yes. One things that’s curious about this mention in the account is that we know nothing was derailing what God had ordained since before the foundation of the world. Why mention of her warning, since Pilate had no ability to disable what was to be? Why compel her to tell her husband her dream? Why send the dream at all? What became of Pilates wife? Curious.

I graduated!!! I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Psychology, summa cum laude! Five years ago, I started this journey with an eighth-grade education, and even that was from a Scientology school, where critical thinking was discouraged and the quality of instruction was subpar, to say the least. I did not get here alone. Thank you to @NYUSPS and @DeanKamath. Thank you to everyone who supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me, especially on the days I was not sure I could do this. And there were plenty of those days. To my therapist, who told me not to give up when I was told I likely would not be accepted into a prestigious program. To my tutor, without whom I likely would have given up at the harder points along the way. To all those here who have sent me loving messages on social media. And to everyone else who has cheered me on in person through the ups and the downs of it, it means more than I can put into words. It got me over this finish line of being a student again and graduating. That goal once seemed impossible. To those who have asked me, “Why this? Why now?” I pursued higher education to reclaim a piece of myself. When you come out of a high-control group like Scientology, or even a high-control family, there are parts of you that were never allowed to fully develop. Those parts include your curiosity and your ability and right to question. Education was discouraged because knowledge creates confidence in your ability to trust your own mind and navigate the world. That leads to true independence, and that would never be allowed. I wanted that back. But more than that, I needed to understand. I needed to understand how my mother could have us join Scientology when I was just eight years old, and how my family and I could be part of something like this and stay in it for so long. I needed to understand how these systems work, how they influence people, and how they take hold. Without education, access to real information, and support, people can fall into systems that work against their best interests. Some assume that because they are educated, even highly educated, they would never fall for something like this. But it turns out that is not necessarily true. What many of us are impacted by, but never quite understand, is how high-control groups operate. Many still do not understand how misinformation spreads, and how tribalism and radicalization shape what we think, what we believe, and who and what we trust. Without that awareness, none of us are immune. Today, we are seeing how these forces can influence good people and distort reality. History has shown us that this is not new; it just comes in a different form now. Social media connects us in ways we never imagined, but it also creates echo chambers that reinforce beliefs and justify behavior without question. Real critical thinking is hard when we are fed so much by algorithms designed to appeal to us. In learning and achieving this milestone in my own life, it has helped me take a good, hard look at my own beliefs and ideologies. This journey was about healing for me, but also about figuring out how to help others in whatever way I can in the future. So what is in my future? I am considering continuing my education and possibly pursuing a master’s degree, with the goal of contributing to advocacy and policies that protect people, not systems. For now, I am taking this moment in. I am proud of myself. And I am grateful. Thank you for being on this journey with me.
