@maxkarpis @TheOmegaPnL The fact that larger transfers get flagged in a normal EU bank. They do NOT get flagged unless they are truly suspicious. I've had my bank account for 11 years now, not a single transaction was ever flagged.

Another post about Revolut restricting someone's account, 1M views, blah, blah, Revolut is bad. Here is my take, again: People do stupid things and get stupid results. Most such posts are light on details. They are all innocent, right?! Or did such a thing happen at all? Maybe it's a way to grow your follower count. I have many questions. As for Revolut, a regulated financial service. It would be cheaper for Revolut not look at these things, but it can't because regulation requires Revolut to find suspicious activity and investigate. I ask you to stop tagging me in such things.

X has 600 million monthly active users. Robinhood has 24 million funded accounts. That ratio tells you everything about what just happened. Musk spent 3 years and $44 billion acquiring something no brokerage can buy: the place where hundreds of billions of dollars in trades already get decided. Nikita Bier said it himself. “X is the best source for financial news, and hundreds of billions of dollars are deployed based on things people read here.” The gap between reading about $NVDA and buying $NVDA was always a different app, a different login, a different moment of friction. Smart Cashtags collapse that gap to zero. The licensing math is already done. X has money transmitter licenses in 40+ states. They withdrew from New York after regulators questioned Musk’s “character and fitness,” but that still leaves them covering the vast majority of the US retail market. X Money has been in internal beta since February 11. The external beta is 1-2 months out. Global rollout targeting mid-2026. Here’s what Robinhood, Schwab, and Coinbase should be paying attention to: X just needs to be a faster on-ramp. The person who sees a $BTC price spike in their timeline and can buy in two taps will never open a separate app to do it. Robinhood built its entire business on removing friction from trading. X is removing the friction of finding Robinhood. The WeChat comparison everyone keeps making is wrong in one important way. WeChat monetized payments between people. X is monetizing the moment between opinion and action. Every hot take about a stock becomes a potential transaction. Every viral earnings thread becomes a storefront. The timeline says “a couple weeks.” The infrastructure says they’ve been building this for three years.

JUST IN: X to launch crypto and stock trading directly from the timeline within a "couple weeks."

People don't bother reading the docs. Just because a company is Chinese doesn't mean they want to hurt you, steal your data, or whatever. I have heard of 0 cases where a Chinese company hurt Americans, no leaks, they've never done anything to bother us. So every time a Chinese model is released I read this garbage online from my country men who's government and corporations are literally known world wide for data privacy breaches. Our own corporations have taken over the world doing this kind of thing, Facebook and Meta giving free facebook to 1 biliion people in Africa and Asia for free was for what? Snowden is in Russia now for what? They don't even host their data in China, lol. People need to wake up.

We are rolling out more detection for automation & spam (and a lot more to come). If a human is not tapping on the screen, the account and all associated accounts will likely be suspended—even if you’re just experimenting. While we aim to support legitimate use-cases of agents, this will take some time to do properly. For now, we recommend holding off on plugging in your bots. If it’s critical, you can use the official API.

@maxkarpis @Excellion I cancelled my Metal because of poor customer service. It truly felt like I was talking to a massive retard. You don't even have to freeze accounts to lose clients. They go away willingly when you offer them no-Ingrish-Rajesh.

I can't be certain that it's fake. He is offering people a chance to make money by joining his Telegram group for trades. I don't know what possible pump and dumps he is involved in, but most people don't get problem at Revolut. People who do sketchy stuff get caught by most banks.

Now @Excellion is not some scammer, but he reposted this questionable post for the contrast to promote his app. I guess he is not planning to partner with Revolut?

@maxkarpis @TheOmegaPnL This is false. I just bought a $450,000 car by transferring from my Binance account to my EU bank account, then made the payment to the car dealership, and literally nothing happened. Revolut failures are due to services being run by indians. Bad services don't deserve clients.

That happens in other banks too. Transfer over 3,000 EUR in an EU bank, and you will get flagged. Then you have to provide proof of funds. Once they verify you and everything is in order, they allow you to process transactions without flagging each one. Again, this is not bank-specific; it's all due to regulations, thank your politicians for that, and some banks are just better at doing the checks.

@SecurityTrybe You Linux people are tempting me to install Linux for the tenth time just to realize that it wont work with everything I've got until I finally uninstall it. After that, I'd spend a day fixing my bootloader. I'm too old for that.

If privacy, security, and anonymity are your key criteria, here's a 2026 comparison from sources like ZDNET, SecureMessagingApps, and Reddit: - SimpleX: Tops all—peer-to-peer, no IDs/metadata, E2E encryption. - Session: Excellent anonymity via decentralization, open-source E2E. - Threema: Strong no-phone anonymity, E2E, Swiss-based, but centralized. - Status: Decentralized on blockchain, solid for web3. - Signal: Secure E2E, but phone requirement hurts anonymity. - Telegram: Weakest default E2E and anonymity. SimpleX leads for max protection.

What is the best alternative to Discord, as they are now rolling out KYC? Preferably decentralised, but centralised will do as well.
