love what Kraken is building with @Krak, and i’m really intrigued by their card launch.
just to see them geo-block features across regions… it would’ve been better if they simply announced, “we aren’t available yet,” than doing this.
i don’t even have access to the normal card only the three virtual accounts.
not a goated move from them, to be honest.

i typically don't like calling out companies, but this was wild. @Cypher_HQ_ was acquired by @NiumGlobal a few days ago. cypher paid users their cashback in its native token, base:0xd262a4c7108c8139b2b189758e8d17c3dfc91a38. after the acquisition, the token dropped almost 99%. this is one of the biggest problems with cashback paid in native tokens. they’re worth nothing. it doesn’t represent real equity in a company. what could’ve been a cinderella story: a crypto neobank gets acquired and the users who supported it for years get a share in the upside. but instead it became another stain on our industry. personally, i don’t think neobanks should be launching tokens. it looks super unprofessional, and it almost never ends well. leave memecoins to the casinos of crypto. just give me cashback in cash.
