@wclemente Short-term price ≠ long-term signal. Bitcoin was built for this exact chaos, not to react on a 15-minute candle. Liquidity cycles lag narratives, and BTC usually moves after stocks and metals, not with them.

This environment is literally what Bitcoin was created for. The President is coming after the Fed chair. Metals are ripping as sovereigns diversify reserves. Stocks & risk assets at record highs. Geopolitical risk rising. If bitcoin can’t catch a bid soon then IDK

@willywoo Wow. That's huge news. Bigger earners with more tax incentive to have Crypto is always huge news.

Japanese will have more incentive to buy BTC. Classifying as a financial product means the tax rate on BTC gains (or trading) goes to 20% instead of being the marginal income tax rate (43-55% if you earn >57k USD per year. Metaplanet will lose its tax arbitrage advantage over self custody BTC. Around 110 cryptos are also included, staking gains are taxed at the marginal rate.

. @zora actually looks incredibly interesting. Zero gatekeeping to monetization, unlike Twitter and Youtube. Those who produce value get rewarded. Seems like the ideal system.
