@Radeon Good job not being a paper launch and pissing off all of your customers like Nvidia did. Oh wait... It sold out in minutes, just like your competitor? Let me guess, more stock in March? I was rooting for team red, now I just don't care.

@NVIDIAGeForce Good job letting bots and resellers purchase all the cards from Nvidia.com. Regular consumers are not all that important I suppose.

The mining server, website, and support system are offline for a database upgrade. We will be back soon! Estimated downtime until 9PM EST (02:00 UTC).

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing Yes, that would definitely be frustrating if it changed after the fact, even if it was to try and comply with the law. I guess that means now you HAVE to be a holder (I refuse to say hodler) come hell or high water! :)

@CryptoLawJunkie @websitedesignso @ProHashing I can even agree with that. My only gripe is that they withheld my funds after changing their terms. When they changed their terms, they should’ve released my funds and would’ve went on my merry way to another pool, or solo, which I’ve done.

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing A lot of people feel the same way about the IRS requirements, and it is understandable, but still the law. At the end of the day providing your SSN or ITIN is just not a big deal, so not providing it seems odd to me. Maybe its the principal, but they aren't doing it maliciously

@CryptoLawJunkie @websitedesignso @ProHashing This is mostly what I do now. We have different ways of interpreting these laws, I guess. I don’t think most of them should exist. The money that I left on Prohashing was rather insignificant, so I’m kinda sick of arguing about it. Lol.

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing I know exactly how mining pools work. I say probably because if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its probably a duck. Of course there is no certainty. But as soon as the IRS puts a couple people in jail, you'll see pools change their tune.

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing There is a chance you could sue in small claims if they violated an implied contract. But I am willing to bet if you just provide the information required, they would release it. The court would require you provide the information too most likely.

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing What are you talking about? Yes, it is your responsibility to pay taxes. It is their responsibility to send you your 1099-MISC and ALSO file it with the IRS, that is part of the requirement. Similarly, do you think companies just send W-2s to employees and not the IRS?

@CryptoLawJunkie @websitedesignso @ProHashing How would they be violating requirements. It’s not up to them whether I pay my taxes or not. It is up to me. Again, WHAT LEGAL AUTHORITY DO THEY HAVE TO WITHHOLD MY EARNINGS?

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing At the end of the day, I totally get being frustrated, but you are fighting a losing battle. Do you think a court would tell Prohashing that they have to release your funds without verifying your identity via SSN or ITIN? Of course not.

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing Again, then they are taking all the risk. No company would be willing to do that. As soon as they release your funds, they would likely be violating the IRS requirements. Currently, they are not because they have maintained possession and don't need to send a 1099.

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing I was unclear, my apologies. Technically you aren't permitted to work at all if you are not permitted. They are not required to send to a 1099 if you earn less than $600. (Obviously it is much easier to circumvent if it is less than $600)

@CryptoLawJunkie @websitedesignso @ProHashing You contradict yourself in one tweet. If I’m not permitted to work, how would I earn more than $600? If I am permitted to work, how will they know if I’m going to earn more than $600? I would have to do the work first. If they did not withhold taxes, it is MY responsibility.

@Bit_Faced @websitedesignso @ProHashing Technically you are not permitted to work or earn income from a company without being verified as legally permitted to work (e-Verify), the exception being if you earn less than $600. Did you earn more than $600? I am guessing yes...

@CryptoLawJunkie @websitedesignso @ProHashing How am I skirting the law by following it. I claim crypto mining on my taxes. Do you think an employer would refuse to pay their employee unless they proved that they were going to pay their taxes. You’re being absurd.
