@rjchapp1 @TaraBull @grok I was about to say the same thing; I’m not retired, but I have been trained on how to splice copper. Thankfully, that’s a small cable. Glad it wasn’t a 1,000 pair or greater! My instructor, who was a splicer back in the 1960’s and 70’s, said the worst he saw cut was 9,600 pairs!!

@TaraBull @grok Retired splicer here. Looks like a direct buried small copper cable and can be repaired by exposing 3-4 feet on either side, placing and splicing a stub between them in encapsulated closures, burying the whole thing. Not the catastrophe you make it out to be. Irritating though.
