this is why i still read comment sections if you’re actually in the trenches, you can spot who’s really building pretty fast found @outsource_ in the replies, dm’d him, got him on stream, and he showed up with real signal and real repos

1/ Most people are asking the wrong question about AI agents. It’s not “Openclaw or Hermes?” It’s: Can people actually use the system you built once it gets powerful? Yesterday’s stream made that very clear.

@whale589 has very kindly answered my points (thank you!) so if you're reading this, have a look at his answers underneath my posts. Last thing to iron out is around centralisation but hopefully Tuesday's space will help.

Finally I'm not against the proposal as unifying & efficiently managing protocol income sources to benefit $FLR is quite sensible to me but not if it's at the cost of decentralisation. I'll read more learned opinions/info sources & hopefully I'll find the answers I need.

Initial thoughts FIP.16 as a layperson 🧵 I understand radical changes are needed to rebalance $FLR's role on Flare & why greater emphasis is placed on staking for the good of the network. However, I have concerns which I must find answers for before I'm willing to vote yes.

@CryptoOpti5751 unfortunately sgb is so far behind and there is very little economic activity going on that realistically would be very hard to test there. there is no staking, and MEV only happens with economic activity. gas implications also only happen with activity in the network.

@FlareNetworks Hi, my questions are in the thread below (my biggest concern is around potential centralisation of block creation & FIRE governance) x.com/i/status/20425… Feedback - Notice period is quite tight for a FIP of this magnitude, maybe it needs to be longer in future.

Live today: OpenClaw vs Hermes. It’s a decision framework for founders and operators choosing an agent stack. We’re walking through 4 questions: 1. Who controls the behavior? 2. Whose memory is it? 3. Can you recover when it breaks? 4. What does it cost in a year? 12pm EST

Don't have 50,000 $FLR? (3/3) 1️⃣ Consider liquid staking with Sceptre &/or SparkDEX (there is a smart contract risk) 2️⃣ Accept lower delegation APY's with no smart contract risk (Disclaimer: I do both of the above)

Why will delegation rewards be lower? (2/3) ➡️ Greater weight will be given to staked $FLR than delegated $wFLR when calculating signing weight ➡️ Signing weight will be a significant factor in determing reward rates

How FIP.16 affects delegation & staking on Flare (1/3) 1️⃣ Delegation rewards decrease in favour of increasing staking rewards (exact reward rates unknown) 2️⃣ 20% minimum fee is enforced for staking & delegation rewards (50,000 $FLR stake minimum doesn't change)
