@SusieM414141 @aj_inapi That contractor would have to pay and possibly the apartment complex. Depends on coverage the contractor had or didn’t have. Could have hold harmless agreements that would indicate contractor was working under their coverage or they could be an employee of the apartment complex

Imagine your apartment complex is having a contractor come out to check sprinkler heads in the units. That’s what happened on this day. But apparently the water main was not shut off, and that’s where it went all wrong! So who pays for any damages? It’s hard to replace certain items. Part 2 in comments below.
