This is a classic meritocracy take, support the good ideas not the bad ideas, 200 iq take, problem solved, or just neatly packaged up brain rot, ffs. Obviously the issue with this is nobody has any idea what the good ideas are, so all that happens is foundations bid ideas of insiders or whatever junk narrative is on X, it doesn't result in better ecosystems, just better results for insiders. In frontier fields, a foundations purpose is to make the grounds fertile for ideas to compete and for the free market to decide what people actually think is good, not some random board of a chain with a whole lot of bias, group think and invested interests, but I suppose this approach is too difficult for the many ego centric leaders in this space who want to believe they know the future of the space, these captains of industry.
