You had to learn to go online and download that exe file, I learnt to open discover and click install. You were not born with that knowledge.

The fact that every reply recommends a different Distro of Linux is exactly the problem with Linux. SteamOS will be the only Linux distro to break into the mainstream exactly because Gabe used to work at Microsoft and understands things need to “just work”.

This tweet is the perfect example for why Linux as a desktop will never go mainstream. People will either get angry at you for choosing a distro that the Internet told them to use or they get angry at you for expecting basic things to just work

Also, I find it funny that LLMs told Linus to install PopOS, since that distro hasn't been recommended for many years now.
I am guessing it's because the LLMs are using old Reddit data for training and don't weigh new posts

But rather than "is my keyboard working? nothing is happening," we get "oh, it's a password prompt, so it won't move until I hit enter"
Granted, just "learning" negates the need for the locked cursor, but I'd like to see it come to Linux.
