@jaketapper Maybe take some responsibility for normalizing this lunatic.

FULL STORY: Lawmakers are weighing whether to grant the Chicago Bears a property tax break on an Arlington Heights stadium would likely reduce the team’s annual tax bill by $39M, according to a new analysis from the Cook County Treasurer's office. @wttw news.wttw.com/2026/05/26/meg…

MUST READ! The tax giveaway is staggering @GovPritzker. Value @ChicagoBears $8.9B late 2025. Value $6.4 B in 2024. Browns just sold 3.2% based on $9B valuation to help pay for stadium. So Bears worth well north of $12B now. More when IL gives them your $$!

@Chicago_NFL The Bears playing on a toxic waste site next to smokestacks just seems so right.

According to a new analysis by the Cook County treasurers report, Chicago officials are now leaning toward a Hammond stadium over Arlington Heights. The report states:
“A Bears stadium in Hammond would be just 20 miles from Soldier Field, compared to the 38-mile distance from the city to Arlington Heights. As a result, a stadium in Hammond would still produce economic benefits for Chicago and the state of Illinois with Indiana taxpayers picking up the $1 billion tab to subsidize the development.” #DaBears

@CoolJtj @Chicago_NFL I will and thank them for representing Illinois taxpayers.
English

@Chicago_NFL If they go to Indiana it’s because Indiana will fully pay for stadium. Also means Illinois government won’t shell out the money to fund bears 🐻. Remember this when you go to vote
English

@SingleBearel @lakecountydem @BenSzalinski They could pay the $72 million in Arlington Heights at the same rate as everybody else.
English

@lakecountydem @Cubpower44 @BenSzalinski So you are saying the Bears should choose “insert worst chicago suburb” to build their stadium and it could be $14 mil in property tax rather than the $72 mil in AH…
English

How much could the Bears pay in property taxes without a tax break in Arlington Heights? And how does that compare to SoFi Stadium?
A new Cook County Treasurer report explores that

@lakecountydem @SingleBearel @BenSzalinski It's lunacy. They want to pay $14 million a year on a property with a $5 billion dollar value. That creates a billion a year in revenue for them.
English

@SingleBearel @Cubpower44 @BenSzalinski Not when you consider that if the Bears move to Indiana, the AH property will be fully developed - this isn't Inglewood, it's a wealthy Chicago suburb with a vibrant downtown, great schools, great metra access (the park has a station already) and minutes from the interstate.
English

@bearsfan302 @SingleBearel @BenSzalinski Why should a company pay a lower property tax rate than me?
English

@Cubpower44 @SingleBearel @BenSzalinski So your solution is just the tax the shit out of the big corporations. So that way when the economy crosses in Illinois you could be like well. At least we taxed to be evil companies
English

@SingleBearel @BenSzalinski Because LA County gave a moronic tax break to one of the wealthiest people in America means Illinois should give out corporate welfare also is the debate?
English

@Cubpower44 @BenSzalinski I agree we need tax breaks but pretend you own the Bears. Sofi stadium in LA has taxes of $14 million and they want Bears to pay $72 million…? Sounds like illinois is playing games to me

10 length winner of the Hollywood Gold Cup. Welcome to horse racing in 2026. This trainer is really good. Fortunately, he buys Swift Hitter steak dinners so it's absolutely all hay, oats, and water. Fun day today, Monmouth ran 8 races and the biggest priced winner was $7.40

@ThruTheBridle Yeah two other horses had more money bet on them but everybody knew Forged Steel was going to win.
Why do I keep getting this goofy crap on my timeline?
