@barstoolWSD I agree but I dont think the Bears want to build there… I think if Illinois drops the ball this week, the Bears should get other states involved to see who would like a new NFL team since Illinois is waisting everyones time

I'll say it again: last week I ambled over to the exact site where the Bears would build in the Region and it's one of the most vile, decrepit, decaying pieces of land in the entire country. The Bears HAVE to have more pride than to build there

According to a new analysis by the Cook County treasurers report, Chicago officials are now leaning toward a Hammond stadium over Arlington Heights. The report states: “A Bears stadium in Hammond would be just 20 miles from Soldier Field, compared to the 38-mile distance from the city to Arlington Heights. As a result, a stadium in Hammond would still produce economic benefits for Chicago and the state of Illinois with Indiana taxpayers picking up the $1 billion tab to subsidize the development.” #DaBears

@SingleBearel @Cubpower44 @BenSzalinski Not when you consider that if the Bears move to Indiana, the AH property will be fully developed - this isn't Inglewood, it's a wealthy Chicago suburb with a vibrant downtown, great schools, great metra access (the park has a station already) and minutes from the interstate.

@Cubpower44 @BenSzalinski I agree we need tax breaks but pretend you own the Bears. Sofi stadium in LA has taxes of $14 million and they want Bears to pay $72 million…? Sounds like illinois is playing games to me

@BenSzalinski With a new stadium the Bears project yearly revenue of 1 billion dollars and an operating profit of $100-150 million.
They don't need a property tax reduction. I do.

Mike Braun governor of Indiana just said on @FoxNews it’s 65-35 that the bears end up in Hammond and directly blames @GovPritzker and the legislature of Illinois .But he also said no answer for a month or month and a half . @FoxNews @ChicagoBears He says they will be in Indiana hopefully but they’ll still be the Chicago bears .No they won’t .How embarrassing . @CourtneyRCronin

The minimum NFL rookie base salary in 2026 is $800,000. For one rookie. And lots of those rookies aren’t going to work out.

Fans looking to blame #DaBears about the traffic study not being done at this point aren’t fully understanding… A traffic study is going to cost a minimum of $100,000 and could be upwards of $500,000+. Furthermore, most jurisdictions won’t accept data that’s 1 to 2 years old. It’s a good thing they didn’t do the study early in the process since it has taken IL over 3 years to finally make a push to even talk about property tax certainty. Which then points to the why would they pay for an extensive traffic study when there has been so much uncertainty surrounding the Bears stadium site in Arlington Heights? The Bears aren’t blameless in this situation but the bigger fault still falls on the politicians (both sides) who refused to take this seriously for too long in an attempt to blackmail the Bears into covering a Soldier Field renovation debt that isn’t even their burden to bear.

His handling of the stadium project has been a fiasco.

As a Bears fan, I am mortified by the thought of the team moving to Indiana. However, Mayor Johnson and Chicago Democrats are spiking efforts to keep them in Illinois. Rather than actually create an appealing business environment, they are sabotaging efforts to allow them to move to other Illinois cities... foxnews.com/outkick-sports…

I don’t see a Hammond Indiana or an Arlington Heights stadium (tbh) attracting any big artists while Soldier Field is still open. That’s the main incentive for owning! So, how do they think they are going to make money?
There aren’t even that many stadium tour caliber artists!

3 months ago I tweeted this: "Is Kevin Warren in hot water? Told Bears owner George McCaskey is livid with his president and CEO." Well, nothing's changed. Speculation is Warren continues to be a significant impediment for a new stadium in Arlington Heights & so too, the mayor!
