I love how the comments have now shifted to assertions that Monet is overrated. It couldn’t possibly be that you can’t always tell the difference between AI generated and the real deal like you constantly claim. Hate AI all you want, but you need better arguments against it than “I can always spot AI slop.”

If you're curious about our stance: Achievements in Windswept unlock even if you're using assists - grinders will still grind without assists because they love challenges, I'm literally one of them.

@alightinastorm Blender is Open Source, it will have as much AI as anybody wants to put into it. The Blender Foundation is taking a cautious approach with a company that showed zero hesitation to steal from artists, and that's just fine.

@ESCalationOffic Steam doesn't count reviews from people who got the platform for "free" (developers, content creators, etc.). Most day 1 reviews are people getting their first impressions & hate. WHICH IS NOT BAD, STILL IS A CONSIDERATION, but when the smoke clears, it'll be completely fine.

Garry Newman addressed the issue of AI slop in the recently released S&Box, spiritual successor of Garry's Mod: "Low quality, obvious AI-created slop is going to be a growing problem in every creative outlet. We don't encourage using AI to be creative. We don't encourage using AI to create games for you. But we do acknowledge that it's a good learning tool and it's a good productivity tool. Okay lets go over this in detail since some people still don't quite see it. GPT Image 2.0 can make *pixel art looking* images, but not pixel art. Zoomed out its fine, but when you try to put a grid over it, it breaks down fast. This is the closest grid match I could get:
