Ooooooo look at me. I’m about to “delete” some candle wicks!! Common man. It’s an auto hide feature for outlier wicks so you don’t have stair at a distorted chart. The team isn’t responding to you because there is nothing to respond to. Funny enough, I don’t think that wick triggered many if any liquidations on Lighter because of how the pricing oracle works. It has a fair value mechanism that limits how far the price to deviate from the reference point. $LIT wins again. (As someone who holds both).

Hyperliquid & tradeXYZ vs Lighter on the $SKHYNIX giga shit candle. By now you’ve probably heard that a lot of traders got liquidated on Hyperliquid trading the HIP-3 ticker $SKHYNIX. And plenty of people immediately started trashing Hyperliquid and tradeXYZ over it. Quick context: a single anomalous pre-market print on Korea’s NXT venue valued one SK Hynix share ~29% below its prior close. That corrupted price fed the oracle and dropped the perp ~17.9%, liquidating around $57M in longs across ~960 accounts. Worth noting: tradeXYZ’s price bounds actually absorbed almost 11 points of that corrupted print. The guardrail held, it just wasn’t enough to save the most leveraged longs. I didn’t want to post about this yesterday, because I’ve always had strong trust in Hyperliquid and tradeXYZ. And today, @tradexyz is stepping up to reimburse affected traders for what happened. You really deserve to get our respect, tradeXYZ team! But here’s the other, more interesting part. Lighter. According to findings from @cryppimagic , the lowest $SKHYNIX price on Lighter was $839, and they’ve since deleted that wick from the chart. And so far? Still no response. So my question to you: will Lighter step up and handle this the way tradeXYZ did? Or just quietly erase the candle and move on?
