You’re happy with Alan Pace giving players promises that deem our season irrelevant? Alternatively, Espanyol nearly got relegated yet Pace has promised Hartman a move there. Hartman wouldn’t be playing in their second tier, if he won’t play championship. Do you think it’s operationally acceptable to be making promises to a club like that and disrupting their summer plans when he doesn’t fancy it?

#RCDE you shouldn’t back this either. You shouldn’t back Hartman. The way this move has been done is terrible. This applies if the same happened with an RCDE player moving to Burnley.

If he said that in January, the conversation should’ve been I need to go now. I either go to Espanyol now or I move permanently away. To be clear, Alan Pace should not, under any circumstances, be promising moves to our sister club to current squad members whilst the season is ongoing. “We’ll discuss at the end of the season, otherwise do what you’ve got to do”, should’ve been all that was said.

@TheBurnleyWay Beg to differ, if he'd have come out and said I need to move for my MH and this is the best for me, then would that have made it better? I just find many of the reactions to things like this mind boggling. If he was so unhappy he couldn't perform then this works for all parties

@Cursong74 They can support his mental health without ruining trust in this multi club model with the fans. He also doesn’t need to essentially gloat about it at his unveiling.

@TheBurnleyWay Everyone was so supportive of Lyle and his issues as he addressed them head on. If this was felt to be the best for QH then so be it, it's not ours to know the ins and outs, just to support the best they can, as they feel they have.

In all seriousness, have no clue what to expect with Nicky Hayen but it’s a change of tact from the board. Moved away from the “big name” options and gone for someone under the radar. Seems closer to Kompany tactically than Parker based on what I’ve read. #twitterclarets

Struggling to see the benefits for Burnley of the link with Espanyol. Parking unwanted players there who we could surely sell just kicks that particular can down the road. Hartman has no future at Burnley, just sell him for whatever we can get and cut the losses #twitterclarets

@TheBurnleyWay Rumours he and his family really struggled to settle in England, if that's the case then fair play to him staying the full season, he tried and it wasn't for him. Sometimes we never know what's going on behind the scenes with a player or how it affects them.

ALK criticism out in force again but given we’ve doubled our money on Anthony, a loan for Hartman isn’t the end of the world. He has a great season there and we get a bigger fee, or he returns to us in a position we’ve really struggled to recruit for. #TwitterClarets
