@BerkeleyEverett This was one of my favorite books in my credential program, really got me digging deep into math pedagogy! Was very lucky to have a phenomenal math methods teacher and then immediately upon first hire getting work with @fawnpnguyen ! No wonder math is my favorite to teach

One of my all-time favorite problems (that spans grade levels and even gets adults thinking) is from Extending Children's Mathematics: 4 people want to share 10 cookies so everyone gets the same amount. How much cookie does each person get? I dare you to try it K-6

The average child asks 200-300 questions a day. So if an elementary school teacher has 20 students, they are asked a minimum of 4,000 questions a day… 4,000! If your partner/spouse is an elementary school teacher, THIS is why they don’t want any questions when they get home.
