My intern (future analyst) told me he is in a wedding later this summer (after full time job starts) and asked if he can take a day off before he officially accrues one per company policy. I told him MY policy: - ask, don’t tell me when taking time off (can’t both be out same time) - give me as much notice as possible - I don’t care about taking time off (or the official numbers of days he has / takes) as long as when something urgent comes up that I need his help on, i can rely on him (working or not)

@Pseud0Anon Had a similar situation. A corporate guy came to our office and did 52 push ups offered 500 if anyone could beat him. I hit 55 mid shift no warm up no stretch. And I was working/commuting 12 hour days. Our office was all out of shape people he def wasn’t expecting to pay.

I wish I was joking, but my buddy was working at a start up and the CEO wanted to have a bench press competition with him with the rest of the office cheering them on. My bro won. He was fired the subsequent week.
